Coach Hartry is a health and physical education graduate of Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University). After graduating from college, he received a scholarship to Piedmont College. After attending there for two years, he accepted a scholarship at Clark and play there there the remaining of his college career. Coach Hartry brings a wealth of knowledge to the game. He helms from Milledgeville, GA. where his and his known as part of posse....The Hartry Boys. He and his brothers are known as outstanding players in the sport. Coach Hartry has coached girls and boys basketball. He coached girls at Avondale High School, and now boys at Tucker High School. This is Coach Hartry's 28th year in education and his 18th year as a head coach. He has sent many players to division one schools and junior colleges. Also, many of his players are playing or have played overseas. One player, Marshon Brooks, played professionally for two years. Coach Hartry believes without heart and discipline, there is no game!
